The freezing cold weather has once again returned to Merseyside just in time for the Halloween season, however don’t be scared off from keeping active as the Liverpool Aquatic centre have the perfect facilities to help keep you in shape.
Located in Wavertree, the centre provides swimming activities for both children and adults, whether they are Olympic standard or new beginners.
Children’s swimming lessons are provided for ages 4 and above and provide your child with top of the range equipment and tuition to help nurture them into the next Rebecca Adlington.
Adults are also encouraged to come down on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights where a £40 membership fee provides you with a block of 10 45-minute sessions.
A total master’s membership is also available, which provides three coached sessions a week as well as total access to the various centres such as the swimming pool, gym and sauna. The membership costs £34 monthly, however students are able to sign up for a discounted price of £24.
Alternatively, if you just fancy popping down for a swim once or twice, there is a pay-as-you-go scheme as well which costs £4.75 a session (£3.60 for students) which allows you to test the waters before jumping into a membership.
Swimming is the perfect way to keep your body and mind in shape whilst staying indoors this winter, so go get your goggles and dive right in.
