Sefton Park is a great place to enjoy and explore all year round. Just because summer has passed, it doesn’t mean you have to say goodbye to a day out in the park. So, grab a scarf and a warm coat, because we have listed 5 things to do in Sefton this autumn.
Go for a bike ride or a walk
Sefton Park offers a scenic escape from the city centre that you can enjoy either on foot or on a bicycle. A route you might like to try will take you from Otterspool Promenade to Sefton Park. This picturesque path will showcase some of Liverpool’s most beautiful places, whilst measuring just under 8 miles, it’s certainly a great way to spend an autumn afternoon.

Explore the Sefton Park Palm House
The Victorian Palm house hosts a wide array of stunning flowers and a number of entertainment events all year-round. It is free to enter, so what better way to compliment your wonder through Sefton Park, than with a visit to this historic and impressive site.
You still have a chance to attend plenty of Palm House events this autumn, including a giant lantern parade, firework displays and a chance to watch some festive classics such as Elf, Scrooge and Home Alone in the build-up to Christmas.

Take up tennis
A tennis pro? Or looking to try a new sport? The take a trip down to the tennis courts at Sefton Park. There are 3 hard Tennis courts available for booking, and the best part is they are free to use!
Every Sunday from 10am-12noon, there are community coaching sessions available for both adults and juniors to partake in, free of charge.

Have a go at Sit and Dance Bingo
What is Sit and Dance Bingo? It’s a gentle, seated dance class suitable for everyone of all ages. Every month the Sit and Dance Bingo is held at Sefton Park Palm House and it is a chance to enjoy the music from the comfort of a chair. Unwind afterwards with a cup of tea and a slice of cake, whilst relaxing with old friends and making new ones.

Have a game bowls at Sefton Park Bowling Club
The Sefton Park Bowling Club has been a part of the park since 1884. It is a non-league bowling club which holds many friendly competitions throughout the year. They are always looking for new members and it’s a great chance for people to give it a try, or regular participants to sharpen their skillset.
